First things first, if you commute via subway, you need to invest in a portable fan. Sharkbeauty launched Chill Pill, a personal fan and cooling system, and I immediately needed to get my hands on it. With a 40+ minute commute each way, I can’t afford to overheat underground. It can be worn, attached, or twisted for hands-free tabletop mode, and now lives in my bag at all times.
It never hurts to have a jersey on hand in case of a last minute World Cup invite. I love this one from Old Navy, perfectly priced at under $30.
If you’ve been eyeing the double layer workout sets popping up everywhere, but your bust just doesn’t seem to fit, then it’s time to check out Old Navy’s Powersoft Layered Longline Bra. The same trendy layers I love, with the 36H cup support I need. I paired mine with these sporty-striped Active Pants.
For those who struggle with lactose intolerance, impromptu ice cream dates just got a whole lot easier. Barrière, the wearable vitamin patch brand, has just launched their Dear Dairy Patch for fast acting lactose relief packed into the convenience of a sticker.
Skin hydration over ice. k2o by Sprinter is a a hydration drink formulated with 5 key electrolytes, bioactive collagen peptides and hyaluronic acid to help rehydrate and replenish your skin from within. As easy as any other electrolyte packet, simply mix with water and add ice for the ultimate poolside mocktail.
Co-founded by Mel Robbins, Pure Genius Protein is a first-of-its-kind protein shot packed into just 3.38 fl oz (yes, it’s TSA approved). With 23 grams of protein in each, these flavored shots are ideal to pop into your bag and carry with you on the go. Plus, they actually taste quite okay.
For those nights when happy hour spritzes turned into getting home at 11pm, there’s nothing easier than Goodles for dinner. Packed with both protein and fiber, Goodles takes all the ease and flavor of Mac & Cheese, and turns it into something you can feel good about.
Speaking of a summer spritz, there’s a few new ones to stock up on for girls night. Cointreau Citrus Spritz is a light and refreshing alternative to aperol, made from the iconic Cointreau orange liqueur, French white wine and natural citrus flavors.
And for brunch, skip the mimosa and indulge in Chandon Spritz Orange, a luxurious sparkling wine and a unique bitters recipe crafted with organic oranges, herbs, and spices carefully selected from the finest terroirs in the world.
When the heat wave rolls in, I want absolutely nothing touching my body. The Lorelai Nightgown from Hill House Home is my solution. Lightweight, versatile, and easy. Catch me wearing this at least once a week all summer long.
For summer travels, a carry on is really all you need. Luckily, the Capsule Carry On by July has just restocked. My favorite part of this innovation packed luggage is the top-down packing feature which eliminates the need to sit on your suitcase and fight with the zipper to close.
Another travel must-have is the Twist + Stack Pill Case from Dosey. Cute enough to display on your dresser, and compact enough to seamlessly fit in any carry on or travel bag.
And if you’re looking for a travel bag that doubles as a beach bag, or even a work bag, this Weekender Distressed Tote is a dupe for the Boatkin we all have on our pinterest boards.
There is nothing worse than having to sleep in a full pair of pants, granny panties, and two extra long pads during a heatwave. Knix simplified summer periods with their super cute, and equally as absorbent, Leakproof® Mini Dream Boxer. The boxer shorts I want to sleep in, with all the protection of their period underwear.
Pair your boxers with a truly summer inspired sleep tee, the Tinned or Twist Baby Tee from Roller Rabbit.
Z Supply partnered with Lindye Galloway on an effortlessly chic, California-inspired collection of elevated essentials. Personally, I have my eye on the Esti Embroidered Maxi Dress for a day-to-night styling moment.
Another dress I’m loving is the free flowing and romantic Marsai Maxi Dress. For a semi-casual summer wedding to brand events in the evening, this is a dress that lets you feel put together without exerting any real effort.
Bloomers and balloon pants may just win as the micro-trend of the summer. If they’ve been calling your name, but you’re still a little fearful, the Playa Party Balloon Pants are a non-intimidating entry point.
I love a matching set for summer because it doesn’t require me to make any decisions. The Sandshell Skirt Set is exactly what I look for in a matching set. Wearable together, and wearable separate, the halter and flowing skirt are already pieces I would gravitate towards. Put them into one purchase and my love just got easier.
Since my trip to LA, I’ve been facing a serious smoothie shortage. I have been actively working to recreate some of my favorites at home, using the BlendBOSS from Ninja. For small apartment dwellers and smoothie amateurs alike will immediately fall in love with both the petite design, and the tumbler blender which doubles as a travel cup.
Ballet flats are still trending this summer, but with a sporty twist. One variation I have been eyeing is the Alohas Rosalind Brown Leather Ballet Flats.
For that perfect French-girl inspired no-makeup-makeup look, turn to Violette Fr. From their bisous balm to their new eyeshaddows, everything is meant to melt into your skin for a sunkissed and natural glow.
In the spirit of barbeque season, may I suggest a Hot Dog Hair Clip?
And if you’re the one hosting the barbeque, the Colorwave Tableware Party Kit has everything you need for an instagrammable occasion.
A truly seasonless essential, my home is never without Biom Wipes. I especially love them to wipe down my phone when I get home from a long day of sweating off my makeup.
When it comes to deodorant, I have thoughts. For summer, when I need the most support, I turn to the Lume Solid Deodorant. They come in a variety of fun scents, and truly last all day even in the most oppressive heat. (The only scent I didn’t love as much was the toasted coconut, which smells strongly like vanilla and just doesn’t mix with me.) Bonus points because Lume is one of the only heavy duty deodorants that doesn’t break me out!
Now this recommendation comes from everyone around me- Carpe deodorant. Personally, carpe breaks me out in painful cystic whiteheads after a full day of wearing it. I am not sure if I am allergic, or if I am not washing it off well enough, but after a few failed attempts I had to let go of the dream. However, for my mom and sister, Carpe is a life saver. It promises 100+ hours of protection, comes in a variety of fun and new scents, and works to control both sweat and odor. For those of us with less sensitive armpits, this is a great option for summertime.
Summer showers just hit different, and our products need to be able to keep up. I love the Natirum Glow Getter Multi-Oil Hydrating Body Wash. Our skin goes through a lot during the summer months, from SPF to sweat, and it’s important that we nourish it a little extra. This lightweight oil does just that, without leaving that pesky film that often accompanies an oil cleaner.
But my true first step in the shower is always the Tower28 SOS Body Wash. This derm-approved + hypoallergenic body wash treatment cleanses, hydrates, and is the only wash I feel actually washes off my extra strength deodorant. It’s unscented, which is why I like to use it as a first step to really make sure I am clean clean clean.
Another shower essential I really love is the Body Wash by DAMDAM. Minty and fresh, this plant powered formula turns into a foamy wash and leaves my skin feeling buttery soft. I follow this up with their Hydrating Essence mist on my face, chest, and back for an extra layer of hydration.
Shaving in the summer will always feel like a daily struggle. The only thing that saves my skin during this time is the Ingrown Duo routine from Fur. After shaving, I always use the Ingrown Concentrate, which is the first oil to heal bumps and razor burn, calming skin and fighting irritation, ingrowns and redness.
Daily, even when I did not shave, I use the classic Fur Oil proactively to soften hair and clear pores on every inch of my body. The result is smooth, hydrated, and irritation-free skin. I use it literally everywhere from my bikini line to my armpits, legs, or anywhere that needs a little extra nourishment.
For the actual shaving portion of the shower, I have been loving the Billie Shave Glaze. First of all, the bottle makes me feel like I’m putting ketchup on a hotdog in the most fun way. Second of all, this lightweight oil is unbelievable effective in protecting against irritation. Obviously, I pair this with my Billie Razor.
Bombas launched flip flops, and while I am typically anti-flop for city days, these may have changed my mind. The Sunrise Leather Flip Flop feature built-in arch support and a rubber sole, alongside premium, high quality leather that's naturally durable with a velvety-smooth feel. If I was going to bring a pair of flip flops out of their natural habitat (poolside) then these are the ones I would reach for.
Gorjana, on the other hand, brings the beach directly to you. Aptly named the “Shell Shop,” Gorjana’s summer jewelry is straight from a mermaid mood board. Personally, I am crushing on these Starfish Earrings. Now the only questions is will they whisper compliments in my ear? (If you don’t get the Aquamarine reference here you need to stop what you’re doing and educate yourself).
Sunscreen is obviously a nonnegotiable all year round, but it’s especially important in the summer months. This summer, Dr. Idriss is continuing her mission to get us all to “just wear the damn sunscreen” with her iconic Major Fade Disco Block SPF 50. This multitasking chemical sunscreen goes beyond protection to actively help reduce the look of dark spots and discoloration, making it a standout favorite among the SPF aficionados.
Cool girl brand, Find Me Now takes sheer to a whole never level. While I am personally crushing on the Brisa Top, there’s a lot that catches my eye here. From their playful semi-sheer silhouettes to their fun take on layering, this is a brand that should be on your radar.
The Taylor Poplin Maxi Dress by Dynamite should be in everyone’s closets right now. It’s one of the most versatile dresses I own. I can wear it to an influencer event I am hosting or attending, I can dress it up as the ultimate wedding guest dress, and I can even dress it down for an easy summer day of meetings.
LESET is always having a moment, but especially so right now. The Margo T-shirt has been hailed as the only white tee you need in your life. Paired with these Crop Drawstring Pants, you have an effortlessly chic summer uniform.
I have been crushing on the CALL IT BY YOUR NAME Bandana Cotton Tote Bag for a minute now. I know this is a micro-trend that will fade by next summer, but what can I say? The heart wants what the heart wants.
And speaking of the bandana trend, there are a few other pieces that caught my eye. First, the Aviator Nation Bandana Wide Leg Sweatpants are ideal for post-beach lounging or early morning coffee runs.
Gorjana has a few cool bandana pieces including this Pearl Necklace.
Or, you can customize your own Bandana Necklace on etsy.
Is cow print still trending? For me, a little western flair is as timeless as cheetah print. I love the Brown Cow Baba from Sabah for an effortless shoe you can lean on from summer through fall.
The girls who get it, get it. STILL HERE makes some of the best denim you can get your hands on. Specifically, The Cool Jean is a relaxed leg, low-rise jean with a drawstring toggle.
While it may be time to put our cashmere tops away, it’s still INTIMISSIMI season. The Racer Back Tank Top is a classic you should always have on hand.
The epitome of a summer trend, these Shell Hot Pants are everything I never knew I needed.
And if you can’t escape the bloomers popping up all over our feeds, it may be time to try out a pair IRL. May I suggest the Aurelie Bloom Pants?
Made to mix and match, Bath & Body works launched an array of travel sized fine fragrance mists and body creams. I love these to leave in my beach bag or overnight bag- anywhere I might need a quick and efficient spritz.
Rhode launches their summer collection on June 9th and I have never been more excited for newness. Alongside the launch of their pocket bronzer, the brand is launching their first luminizer: Highlight Milk. Available in four shades, their fan-favorite glazing milk is getting a shimmery upgrade just in time for summer. Of course, this launch is accompanied by limited edition peptide lip tints, summer peptide lip shapes, and fun summer accessories like a terry bag and towel. Join the waitlist here.
Left on Friday and Claire V have joined forces with a collaboration rooted in a love of summer adventures. Think checkered and striped swimwear, oversized totes made for long weekend-ing and versatile bandanas.
Madhappy and Freecity have once again collaborated on a collection for summer, this time with w silhouettes, including tank tops and thermals, alongside updated styles across the fleece hoodie, zip-up, sweatpant, and a long-sleeve tee. Accessories include Dad Hats and a 100% Cashmere FREECITY Dove plushie.
Planning a beach getaway? Your beach bag can now double as your carry on thanks to Away. Their new Cabana Collection features a Riviera Straw Tote which features tons of pockets and a trolley sleeve. Plus, it’s chic enough to take with you wherever you’re going.
But if you’re staying home this summer, upgrade your patio set up with Revival Rugs. Specifically, the Shima is designed to move seamlessly between bedrooms, porches, sunrooms, and outdoor entertaining spaces.
Did I miss anything? What products are inspiring you this summer?
